Happy July 4th! Today I’m sharing a fun, easy crochet project called a “lovey” or security blanket. These make great baby shower gifts and work up quickly granny square-style. Find the pattern at Ham and Eggs’ Ravelry.

Here’s my finished version:

I used acrylic yarn, but you could use 100% cotton for the softest yarn for baby.
I opted to sew on the eyes rather than use buttons or snap eyes, since this is for a baby.
Use a rattle for the snout if you like!
