Sold my first custom dress on Etsy :)

Wohoo! I sold my first custom-made, hand-dyed dress on Etsy yesterday! I used a Butterick pattern from the “See&Sew” line, #B6436, as my base. From there, I heavily altered the sizing based on the recipient’s measurements. I also used food coloring to hand dye the cotton muslin fabric. Though the dye did not take as well as I’d hoped, the recipient was over the moon with the slight tie dye effect!

Despite pre-soaking in vinegar and microwaving in salt water after 24 hours of setting, this dye just didn’t want to set. I’ll be using fabric dye for any future dye requests, that’s for sure!
