The Easy Breezeway Cowl is a great choice whether you&#8217;re a beginner looking to practice your knits and purls, or an advanced knitter seeking an easy tune-out-and-relax project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Techniques: Long-tail CO, stretchy BO, K, P, Garter stitch (K first rnd, P second Rnd; repeat). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supplies: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Yarn \u2013 At least 300 yards \/ 150 grams of Sport, DK, Worsted, or Aran weight yarn. I used a DK\/Light Worsted yarn in colorway &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/838924643\/hand-dyed-yarn-100-sw-bfl-in-en-plein?ref=shop_home_feat_3&amp;frs=1\" target=\"_blank\">En Plein Air&#8221;<\/a> by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/IntotheWarren?ref=simple-shop-header-name&amp;listing_id=838924643\" target=\"_blank\">Into The Warren<\/a>. [Yardage\/grams needed varies depending on yarn weight and desired scarf length and width.]<\/li><li>Needles \u2013 US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles, 40 in. or size needed based on yarn weight and desired scarf length.<\/li><li>Stitch marker to mark beginning of round (BOR).<\/li><li>Tapestry\/yarn needle for weaving in ends.<\/li><li>Notes: Wet block for best results. Scarf length is highly customizable; simply cast on (CO) additional stitches until you reach desired total length. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CO 180 stitches using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sN9cNEozOLc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">long-tail CO<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join in the round, being careful not to twist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place marker for beginning of round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rows 1-2: Garter stitch (K rnd 1, P rnd 2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rows 3-5: Knit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rows 6-8: Purl<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Repeat Rnds 3-8 seven times, or until scarf reaches desired width.
